About

based.press is a curation archive — a raw mirror. It preserves media, articles, and sources that challenge prevailing narratives: things that have a way of quietly disappearing from feeds, platforms, and search results. Here they keep their original timestamps, their sources, and their permalinks.

Why it exists

Feeds bury. Accounts get purged. Videos go private. Sites shut down. The memory hole is not a conspiracy — it is the default behavior of platforms optimizing for the present tense. An archive is the counterweight: static files, no algorithm, no engagement loop, nothing to take down but the domain.

How it works

Who runs it

Nobody whose name matters. The site is run anonymously, on purpose: the ideas and the receipts carry the weight, not a persona. If a claim here is wrong, it gets corrected — that promise is worth more than a byline.
